Some things I will never have

~ long, shapely legs
~ small, perky breasts
~ clear skin

I also will never be exceptionally brilliant like my sister, incredibly creative like my mom, or even powerful like my dad.

At some point I hope to come to terms with these things. It would help if I could find my niche or something that I excelled at. I would mind being average less if I felt I had something of value to offer the world, but most of the time I just feel like I'm taking up space.

I hope at some point you figure out what an amazing, beautiful person you are.

Gotta agree with Joe. I think you're stunning, and you have skills and knowledge I can't even begin to measure up to. I think you're wonderful, Dude.

Hubs is surprised you feel this way too, Darlin'. He thinks you're very pretty and incredibly intelligent.

You're being too hard on yourself. ♥

Thanks y'all! If you think I'm being hard on myself you should have heard me 10-15 years ago. LOL

For the most part, I like ME. I just wish I had something special, something I excelled at, something noteworthy... Blah, blah, blah...

You have a great sense of humor!

This is a case of the glass being half full or half empty and yr seeing it as half-empty--but you are full of talent, smarts, fun! And pretty too.

Madeline L'Engle says, "Comparisons are odious!" Never compare yourself to anyone else--if I did that, I'd always find poets who are better poets than I am, artists who are better artists, novelists who are better novelists.

You are the best YOU in the whole world!!!!!

And I love yoU!!! XOX

I personally find being average to be somewhat comforting. I imagine all those go-getters are under are lot of pressure. No thanks!

Also, I happen to know your sister, and no offense to anyone involved... she may be somewhat above average, but is not exceptionally smart. Being antisocial and generally uninterested in popular culture should not be confused with intelligence.

If you figure out the clear skin thing, let me know!
