It's been so cold lately that I haven't been able to do my schoolwork in the evenings. I know that just sounds like a lame excuse, but cold temperatures prevent me from activity just as much as extreme heat does. Possibly more so. I can't force myself to sit up at my computer when I could be huddled beneath a blanket on the couch. My mouse hand usually takes the brunt of it, turning into a chunk of ice.
I have several papers to write this weekend, so I guess I'll be turning the heat on in that room and hoping for some cold-hardy endurance to develop. Yeah right.
I better buy some herbal tea.

My mousing hand always gets ridiculously cold, too. You need one of those blanket-shawls that you can bundle up in while you sit at the computer. Or how about a space heater? You are lucky that you can turn the heat on (or up) in just one room at a time.
Put the space heater on. I kept it under my desk.
Or go work at an internet cafe.
Get up every ten minutes and do a hundred jumping jacks.
I can't work when my hands and feet are cold either.
In the winter, I use those bags of corn or rice that you heat up in the microwave. I keep one on my feet and the other on my lap for my hands.
(You can make one easily by just filling a cotton stock with rice and then tying the sock.)
Hope your hands have warmed up. It's a little warmer here today.
