La Rentrée
Today is the last day of summer for me and for many teachers in my area. Teachers return to work tomorrow and students start school in the next couple days. Mine start on Thursday but many districts in the area start on Wednesday. My plan for the day is to review content and do some prep work. If I need a break, I will vacuum and do some laundry. Happy Labor Day and Happy Rentrée!

Enjoy your last day off!
I would rather do laundry and vacuum than go into a classroom with all those heathens, too. I would even throw in cleaning the bathrooms in a gas station.
I wouldn’t mind the kids so much as I would the parents. I don't know how many you can slap the shit out of before you reach the expected quarterly limit, but I'm sure I would reach it way too soon.
Yep, everyone here is back to school.

Every year the Summer seems shorter! I must be getting old. The girls have been in school since Tuesday. The older one is placed in her French Immersion classroom already and the younger will find out her classroom placement on Friday.
