- My mind is too full (and my body is too tired) to manage more than bullets.
- Student teaching is going as well as can be expected. It's not funny anymore. It's just annoying. These kids won't even complete a word search.
- I find it bothersome to also have class at the same time. It's too much.
- Sometimes I wish I'd decided to pursue my degree at another institution of higher learning.
- Last night was one of those nights. I don't think making an entire cohort of second year master's students feel like stupid, worthless idiots is the best route to take. Me thinks if every one of us fails to meet your expectations, you may be partly to blame.
- I finally got around to picking up after Ike. I filled three garbage cans with downed branches. The rest will have to wait.
- It may frost tonight.
- I may close the bedroom window for the first time since spring.
- It's amazing how many pairs of really uncomfortable shoes I own. I rotate them so a different part of my feet hurt each day. I'm beginning to think comfortable shoes do not exist outside of sneakers or flip flops.
- Don't worry, I still want to be a teacher. I just may have to consume a great deal of chocolate.

Comfortable shoes do exist, you just have to pay a big premium for them. And I am so jealous about the open windows! Our escapist cat has made that impossible--she has ripped the screens out of both windows in our second floor bedroom and lept to the ground. Obviously we want to discourage that, but I love sleeping in cold crisp air.
Hey, I was going to say the same thing--sort of--comfy shoes are definitely available.
Of course, they may not be the height of fashion. They probably won't be. But if my feet hurt, it's from fibromyalgia. Not from my shoes.
Our low tonight is supposed to be 52.
I think Lake St. Clair modifies the temperature to some extent.
Hang in there! And have lots of chocolate too! I hear you on the comfortable shoes. Do they have to look like the senior citizen shoes from Walmart to be comfortable. I actually did buy a pair of the geezer Dr. Scholls this last winter. They are comfy and they resemble some that are like Skechers, only with a geriatric twist. Ha!

I am the same way with shoes! Today I am wearing the shoes that pinch by my toes instead of the ones that I wore yesterday that rub my heels. :)!
I do own comfy shoes - but they are flip flops and not work appropriate. :(

Word search, shoes, and teacher bullets: I was nodding my head very head. I hear you! I've actually had many teacher-friends who have said the exact same about their students, and some have given up teaching altogether because students no longer care. It's very, very sad.
And I too am jealous about the open windows--I always had them open before Bean, but not as often now.
I've had some expensive shoes that still weren't comfortable.
And I didn't end up closing the window. Nor did it frost in my yard...
I'm teaching high school. My class is mixed- all grades and abilities.
