Email Question

When I receive an email from a friend or otherwise I try hard to answer all questions and pose additional ones if relevant. It seems as though this is not the common practice. My friends often ignore my questions altogether. Should I assume that the topic doesn't interest them or that they simply can't be bothered? Or is this technique normal, and I'm actually the odd man out with my behavior?

I'm not a good one to ask, as I think I fall in the camp of not responding properly.

I really suck at email.

How have you been?

Hope you're having a good day.

I write emails the same way you do and get the same responses you do for the most part. Oh well. At least you aren't alone...

It drives me crazy when people don't respond to the questions I ask in an email.

When I have to to answer an email properly, I try to treat it like a letter, like a conversation, like an interchange, and respond thoughtfully.

When I am pressed for time, I only open those emails that seem most urgent and only respond to those questions that seem most pressing and often miss stuff from hasty reading.

I hope friends and family will ask again if that happens.

I write emails like you do, extra questions and all. Some people don't follow suite and it's a little annoying ... I find those who write emails like I do tend to be older (more traditional methods of communication and ways to relate to others/less ADD?).
