How to Make Friday Suck

Take the 15 minute meeting you have scheduled first thing in the morning and have it last two and a half hours.

That ought to put you in a right foul mood.

Here's another one:

Have someone who works for you send an e-mail message detailing a number of things you did wrong (according to him) and basically calling you an idiot, a message that was copied to your boss and several colleagues.

That did wonders for my mood this morning!

I thank repressed librarian should take the email and critique for spelling grammar and punctuation, make the necessary changes, and send it back to all the recipients suggesting he use another tactic to back-stab, undermine, sabotage and attempt to embarrass a colleague. Then walk up to his desk and tell him to kiss your ass.

And Nadine, some of the best naps I have ever had was during extended meetings. Usually the meetings are extended simply because some of the people though it was necessary to recognized for their brilliance by bringing up “important” issues or comments that mean nothing to the majority of those in the room. Just butt-kissing.

Ugh and ugh. Extended meeting should always provide refreshments. My guess is for one scheduled for 15 minutes, no one bribed you to be there.
