This is getting old.
Now the boss is out of town for two days.
Do I continue to wait so that I can talk to her first?
Or do I submit the application materials and catch her when she gets back on Wednesday? I have my cover letter and resume ready to submit. On that subject, can I just say that I find cover letters to be tiresome.
So whatcha think?

Cover letters suck. I'm with you. How long has the position been posted? Is it internal? Is there someone in human resources who could tell you how late you could apply? I think it may be safe to go ahead and apply. You can always withdraw your resume later if you want to.
Well, I decided to submit my application. Now I just hope it doesn't bite me in the ass somehow.
I don't really think I have a chance at this position, but I certainly won't get it if I don't try.
Yup, gotta apply to even be considered! And the interview I have tomorrow is a job that I certainly didn't think I had a chance at. You never know. And if boss lady freaks out, you can always withdraw it your application. Good luck and keep us posted!
