Ten Years

I just realized this morning that it's been ten years (ten years!) since I did my summer session in college. One of the degree requirements for my bachelor's program was a four week long session held at one of the extended campuses. I took advantage of an alternate opportunity that is no longer allowed as a replacement to the original session. It was definitely one of the best parts of my college experience.

How can it be ten years already?

Ten years since I spent four weeks living in a cabin in the mountains.

Ten years since I hiked Cascade and Porter by myself.

Ten years since my first kiss with Christian at the dump.

Ten years since I went almost-native and didn't want to come back.

Ten years since I knew exactly what I was going to do with my life.

Ten years.

Just wait until it's 40 or more years and you still feel that way! AK!

It does slip away!

Carpe Diem!

And I was there at that same camp having those same or similar experiences--37 years ago or so.

Just one example of why we shouldn't waste time. Treat every day as if it is your last and you will relish every minute.

You and I should do Whiteface together. SodaBoy refuses to consider hiking it on account of not wanting to share his summit with people who drove there.

It is definitely disturbing to think about the things that happened so many years ago when it doesn't seem possible: SodaBoy and I have been dating 10 years now, I graduated high school 15 years ago. How the years fly by...

Although my experience was at a different place, I agree that summer session definitely rocked.
