Bullets of Whining

  • If I had wine in the house, I'd be drinking it right now. I'm just saying.
  • BerryBird, remind me of that when we're at the Farmer's Market. Local wine, bonus. I also want to buy more eggs. Remind me of that too.
  • Where is this cold front I was promised? And the rain? 'Cause I'm sitting here sweating, and I didn't water any of my plants/flowers/grass seed.
  • I would like to be sleeping on the couch right now, but I can't do that until the dishwasher is done because I will need to turn off the water (yes, it's one of the roll-up-and-plug-in kind).
  • I finally decided to run the dishwasher, not because of the dirty dishes piled in the sink (and on the counter), but because of the funky odor emanating from my water bottle.
  • The dishwasher, it doesn't help cool the house down. Not in the least.
  • But the dirty dishes on the counter may distract the ants from exploring the salt shaker.
  • Is that enough whining or shall I go on?

What if you had a glass of red wine, and in doing so fell fast asleep on the sofa. You wake suddenly to a crack of thunder, which causes you to drop the wine glass you had been so loosely holding onto the floor and shatter into pieces as you simultaneously look into the kitchen and discover that the flood coming from your plug-in dishwasher is a murky brown color. Screaming, you stumble drunkenly for the kitchen and with the first step you dash your dainty big toe on the shards of glass protruding from the stain of red wine seeping across your recently cleaned floor.

I mean, maybe it's better that it's hot and wineless out.

Keep going. Get the whine out before you start on the wine.

Wine? Check. Eggs? Check.

I have wine, bourbon, scotch and vodka in the house, but I'll take a cold beer anytime.

I just walked to the store and bought a bottle of wine and baguette, very continental, eh? I'd share it with you.

Biker Buddy is making spaghetti for dinner. And salad and wine and a baguette.

Want some? It smells GREAT!

(But I have a few whines of my own.)

So whine away!
