- I wore sandals today, and my feet are so cold that I am actually considering driving to the closest grocery store and buying a pair of socks so that I can change into my sneakers. (Why don't I have a pair of socks if I have a pair of sneakers? Good question.)
- I forgot to bring any of the ridiculous amounts of chocolate FF bought for me at the end of last week. I usually crave sweets most in the late afternoon, so I will be even more sad in a few hours. I certainly can't justify raiding the vending machine when I have expensive, gourmet chocolates at home.
- I mowed the lawn yesterday, which makes it two days shy of a week. It was already long enough where the mower was threatening to stall at the highest setting. How can it be growing this fast when it hasn't rained?
- Every time I mow I come to the conclusion that some more trees must be cut down. I can't get into any kind of rhythm or pattern. There are too many damn obstacles in the way.
- I did get the entire brush pile picked up, which will make mowing in that section easier. Unfortunately, where the pile was is now a big area of bare dirt. I bought some grass seed on Saturday, but my guess is that in order for it to start growing, it has to not still be in the package on the kitchen floor.
- Does anyone have any suggestions for ridding the world, I mean my yard, of poison ivy? It is Everywhere.

What is FF doing buying you chocolates? The boy knows you too well. Bring half your stash to work. I also get a hankering for sweets in the late afternoon, but luckily for me the little cafe in the lobby of my building is closed by then. Mmmm, canoli.

There's a nasty but effective poison-ivy-killing spray- hardware stores usually have it. You spray it on the leaves and it dies. Or for really big ones, you chop a little notch in the vine and spray it on that. Other than that, I don't think there's anything. My environmentalism makes an exception for poison ivy.
I know about grass that won't quit, too many trees and too much poison ivy. Good luck with that!
I would like a little piece of gourmet chocolate right now (too bad I cannot EVER have any). I hope you enjoy it! :-D
