Peony

I love everything that blooms (who doesn't?), but peonies are one of my absolute favorites. The yard at my new house came equipped with a lovely half circle of pale pick peonies. Someday in the future I'd like to plant other colors in other parts of the yard, but for now I will appreciate each of the gorgeous flowers that I have.

Every year the historical society in my village hosts a peony festival, and every year I think about going. Maybe this year?

I love peonies too. The great thing is that once they are planted, you don't have to do anything. They just come back faithfully year after year.

Peony festival, huh? That sound interesting, I wonder what peony-specific celebrations they have.

Beautiful! They were in the bouquets of the wedding I was in a couple weeks ago. I love them. Perhaps I'll plant some in my yard too...

You are so lucky! I love peonies, too.

Peonies are my favorites - but only the old-fashioned ones with the gorgeous fragrance.

No peonies in the yard when we moved in, but MIL divided two clumps last fall and brought us some. One is covered with huge buds and I'm just waiting for it to open so I can see what it looks like.

A peony festival? I would *so* be all over that!!
